Dragon Kim of Tustin, Orange County was killed August 14, 2015 when a tree limb in Yosemite fell on his tent. He was 14.
Through tragedy and loss came resilience, strength, and growth. While it is natural to feel overwhelmed by difficult experiences, these challenges can also serve as opportunities for personal development and transformation.
When we experience loss, we may be forced to confront our deepest fears and vulnerabilities. However, this can also lead to a greater sense of empathy, compassion, and connection with others who have gone through similar experiences. Additionally, going through difficult times can help us develop resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills that we can use in future challenges.
Ultimately, the way we respond to tragedy and loss is up to us. While it can be painful and difficult to navigate, it is possible to emerge from these experiences with a renewed sense of purpose, resilience, and growth. For proof of this you need to look no further than The Dragon Kim Foundation!

About ChoiceCenter's LV208 Legacy Campaign for the Dragon Kim Foundation:
The Dragon Kim Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission it is to inspire and activate teen leaders to use their passions to impact their communities. All our programs strive to engage young leaders and empower them to take action and make a difference in their corner of the world. Our Fellowship Program is a six-month social entrepreneurship incubator that provides teen leaders with leadership training, a mentor, and a grant of up to $5,000 to launch a service project that will support underserved communities. Our annual class of teen Dragons is intentionally diverse in many ways: ethnically, gender diverse, socioeconomically, and geographically (throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona). The teens we train get to grow alongside people totally different from them. We also enable adults and community organizations to make a difference in the lives of teens as mentors and partners. Together, our projects have resulted in over 60,000 community service hours serving 24,290 people.
Choice Center Leadership University's current torch bearing team, LV208 has declared to raise $119,440 in 7 days!! The funds raised go towards the Programs of the Foundation and especially the service projects of the Fellowship Program.
Please support tomorrow's Leaders today by giving to the Dragon Kim Foundation right now!
